Musuem part 2

The end of our Museum trip deserves a post of its own.......as you can see. Poor Logan decided he wanted to dance one more time before we left and as he was running down the ramp got tripped up or forgot to stop; either way he ended up face planting into a pretty sturdy wooden bench. After we got the bleeding to stop mostly we decided we should go and get Dave from the airport. It was a great welcome home present for him. Its hard to see but he is so swollen. While we were trying to clean him up and get him calmed I told him "Logan, would you like an ice cream, that will make you feel better." Later, after I had calmed down I realized that I am a TRUE Marlatt, offering our children ice cream when we should really be taking them to the ER. (right, Marlatts?) We ended up stopping in creepy downtown Memphis at a Walgreen so I could get him so Tylenol and a rag to soak up some blood rather than my Mom's super nice coat.

When Dave got into the car, Logan calmed down quite a bit and was able to enjoy his presents from Japan.

Once the Tylenol kicked in he felt much better and we waited until we got back to Jackson to take him into Urgent Care. He had his story down and wanted to tell everyone that would listen that the bench did it to him. On a side note I'm glad we decided to take him that night because by the next day his story and changed and he couldn't decide if Sam did it or Addie (our neighbor and friend-she is the boys fall back on EVERYTHING). The Doctor said that he was really lucky, nothing was broken and all his teeth were still there so he would look terrible for a while but he was fine.

Bathes always make him feel better.

Day 2After I took this picture I wanted to download it with the caption, "I'm a Dork Fish!"
But I felt bad so I didn't! I love you, Logan!

It kept right on bleeding.

There really didn't look like there was that much bruising just really swollen. Then I looked in his mouth, it went all the way around.

Day 3
You can tell how swollen he is when he smiles.

The bruising starts....

and grows.......

and grows.
Day 4
But he kept smiling!

Target always makes us feel better.
Yes, its the same picture. I can't get it to go away!
Day 5

Day 6

I had to take Sam to the Doctor and I got some funny looks.

The swelling started to go down.

That was an ORDEAL! That was our families first black eye and I think we handled it pretty well. My Dad told me that Logan is fearless and we would probably see many more of this type of injury with him. He doesn't think of the consequences of his actions just the fun of doing them, while Sam is more cautious. Wish me luck in the coming years!

Then Papa Jerr came!!

After My Mom had been here for about 2 weeks, my Dad come out to spend a few days with us. The boys were so surprised and excited. He flew in on Saturday and Dave came in on Monday so we decided to make a day out of it, let Sam skip school and spend the day in Memphis and the Children's Museum. Just driving with the pirates.
School ended up to be optional due to severe weather, and we did see a tornado so I was totally justified in not sending him, see.

Sam and Logan made an experiment. Glue, water and borax. It made slime.

Sam arrested Maymee

but the siren was so incredibly loud.

Maymee Came

Dave went to Japan for the 2 1/2 weeks in Feb. and since that is a LONG time to fly solo with our kids, I talked my Mom into coming out to hang out with me. We had a blast! I love hanging out with my Mom and the boys adore their Maymee! I really didn't take pictures, but let's be honest I never remember to take pictures. We hung out wrapped in blankets mostly, it was COLD. We got to watch lots of movies and ate really good food. Sam had a day off from school and Logan wanted to take Maymee to the fish Aquarium so we decided to go to the Zoo. We took some friends from our ward, the Miles. We all had so much fun. The forecast said it was suppose to rain so the zoo was pretty empty and the animals were REALLY lively. They made so much noise and were running around like crazy. All the boys jammed into the stroller, pretty much how it looked all day.

The polar bear just swam in circles for the whole time we were there. The kids followed him around and around.

Wyatt and Sam

The cheetahs were pacing back and forth, kind of freaky when it looked like they were waiting to jump out of their pen.

Logan picked a snake hat form the girt shop, it was so cute I couldn't say no to him.

We had such a good time with My mom; I am so thankful she was able to come and hang out with us. We got to go home the her house every year, but it was nice to have her all to ourselves for a little while. YES, I AM SELFISH! I hope we didn't kill you Mom and you will come back again soon.

Snow Day!

We had loads of snow days this year. Sam loved not having to be in school and Logan loved not being inside! Sam is always so excited to go outside until he gets out there and then only lasts about 10 minutes! He likes to stay inside and at the perfect temp. while Logan lives for the outdoors! They are so different its crazy!
