We have been wanting a big toy forever! I wanted to buy one and Dave, being Dave, wanted to build one. So after much planing and drawing on Dave's part, we got one!! Dave's dad flew out for a week and they got it done. It looks great!! The boys love it, although, last night we went out just to look at it and both boys ran to our little crappy one (that lifts off the ground when you swing) and both hopped on and glided for half and hour. It's funny! We still have to get all the accessories for the big toy but the construction is done and we can get our back yard clean again! I must say I'm excited about that part too.

The first pile of wood.....of many! We personally funded Home Depots paychecks this week.

Sam and Logan wanted to check out the tower so Dave threw up some boards and held them so they wouldn't pitch the boys off.

Let me start off with... Dave is a perfectionist. When they decided to level the towers, they had to get stepping stones and then dig out the grass they would set them on then dig the grass so the boards wouldn't touch. It really was ridiculous , but funny to watch. I bet it took them over 3 hours to get it just right. He kept going back to touch up this part and make that part lower. Oh, Man! But, if it makes it not fall over in the first wind storm then I will take it.

Dave proved that he does indeed have reason to have 3 drills. He also got to try out his new Compound Miter Saw he got for his birthday. (I am a wicked awesome wife, just saying)

Hooking up the swing set section.

the slide.....oh how we love the slide!

Hand rails going up.

Dave, being the BEST DAD EVER, built the boys a 'custmister stand'. Both the boys get into Dave's truck, unroll the windows and sell Ice Cream to anyone who will listen. They are so excited to have such and cool place to hang out. We really weren't thinking about all the neighbor kids when we picked a spot for it. It over looks the fence so they can stare down at all the kids playing in the street. Of, course they in turn want to play in our back yard. I AM NOT a babysitting service and have no desire to become one, so we are getting a chalk board to cover the wall the peers over the fence. We hope that will detour Sam from screaming for them to come over.

The finished product! It really is so awesome! Dave and Grandpa Bob did a great job! The boys love it and so do I. I'm so excited to be able to kick the boys out of the house and them actually having something fun to do. Logan wants to be out there constantly. Sam is still unwell so he only goes out there to eat his Popsicles.
Dave, you are the BEST Dad ever!! We love you so much. Thanks for baking in the hot sun to build the big toy for our boys!
